Recent Research

My research activity consists on imaging seismically the deep Earth interior, from the lithosphere to the lower mantle, and relate observed seismic heterogeneities to what we know about mineral physics, geodynamics and geochemistry. I currently focus on mantle seismic discontinuities, especially at 410 and 660 km depth in the mantle transition zone. My seismological tools are reflected (PcP and SS-precursors) and converted (P-S and S-P receiver functions) body-waves.
